**UPDATE**Cat Sale
Added September 01, 2010
Kitten season is still among us! Due to overcrowding, from lack of spaying and neutering, the shelter is having a special on cats. All cats are reduced to a $10 adoption fee. Adoption still includes the spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, a free sample bag of Hills Science Diet cat food, a collar and an ID tag. If you have cats at home that need to be sterilized, please contact the Friends of Canyon County Animal Shelter (FCCAS) at 455-5927 for upcoming spay/neuter dates and pricing.

Foster Homes Needed
Added January 01, 2009
The shelter is in need of kitten and puppy foster homes. If you are able to provide temporary care for an animal, please click on the volunteer link and fill out the application. Make sure to check "Animal Foster Care" in the areas of interest section. This is a wonderful way to provide temporary responsibility for your child to see if they are ready for a pet of their own. Also, these babies will provide tons of entertainment! Foster families always have first pick for adoption, so if you have been looking for a new puppy or kitten, this is a great way to find the one that you've been looking for! The shelter is currently able to provide all the dry food for the foster animals to help minimize the cost for foster families.
